Sequence in SAP PP routings

In SAP PP, sequences are combinations of operations used for describing and modelling production processes.

In SAP PP, a sequence overview can be accessed from the routing header.

Use TC CA02 to display the routing.

In the routing, click the “Sequences” button.

A table with standard, parallel and alternative sequences will be displayed.

Sequence types

Standard sequences are created by default when specifying operations.

Alternative sequences are used for modeling different ways of manufacturing a product (an alternate sequence might apply for a certain lot size range).

Parallel sequences represent parts of a production process that can be conducted in parallel.

Both parallel and alternative sequences are associated with a branch and return operation.
